The sun slowly rises over beautiful Guntersville Lake. The birds softly chirp while an owl is hooting in the distance. Suddenly a different sort of noise arises in a dramatic fashion. What is that sound?
Our Indian Princesses had a great time camping at Camp Cha-La-Kee for Spring Longhouse 2004. The weather was mostly great, and the girls made the most of the sunshine and activities. Posted are a set of photos from the campout. Big Braves that want a full resolution photo, send an email with the photo numbers (DSCF00xx).

Here is a list of everything you will need for an overnight cave trip.
Shoes
Old for crawling in mud (boots are great)
Old for entering/exiting and staying at campsite
Good for traveling
Clothes
Old for crawling in mud ( long comfortable pants/ long thin ss shirt, can put tshirt underneath)
Old for entering/exiting and staying at campsite
Sweatpants and Sweatshirt to sleep in
2 pairs of underwear (1 will get wet and muddy while crawling)
2 pairs of socks (1 will get wet and muddy while crawling)
baseball cap
plastic garbage bag to put dirty clothes in
Sleep Equipment
Sleeping bags
Pillows
Tarp or plastic barrier to put on cave floor
Air matress
Other
Flashlight (head ones are great)
Electric Lantern to set up at campsite is great too
Spare batteries
Gloves (cotton ones work great)
Canteen drinking water
Small bottle water or Wipees to clean up after crawling in mud
Change for snacks and “mining for rocks”
Money for souvenir
Warm jacket for outside of cave
Ear Plugs to drown out mighty snoring braves
Backpack to carry equipment in and out of cave
Don’t’s
Remember No Food. In CAVE!!!!!
don’t Pack 100 lbs because you have to hike in and out of cave on a gravel road
only girls carry stuff into cave in wagon..have to go on gravel path
